This traditional Japanese inn has a well-established history, having been founded in 1891. Three buildings make up this inn: Shuzankaku on the mountain side of the complex, Hekisenkaku next to the Katsura River; and Shofukaku. The inn pipes in hot spring water from Arashiyama for guests to enjoy in both their common and private baths. This water is said to beautify the skin. Their restaurants are also freely accessible to non-staying guests, with course dinners featuring yudofu, a simmered tofu dish that uses tofu from the famous Kyoto tofu shop SAGATOFU. For lunch, you can casually experience luxurious Japanese cuisine with courses that start from 3,240 yen together with the beautiful landscape that changes with each season.
