Togetsukyo Bridge

This bridge is located on the way from Hankyu Arashiyama Station to a cluster of famous sightseeing spots on the opposite side of the river. Measuring a total of 155 m in length, the bridge blends into the scenic beauty of the Arashiyama landscape with its wooden balustrades, although its present-day piers are reinforced concrete. With Arashiyama—a mountain famous for its breathtaking scenery in every season—spread out before it, the bridge provides a superb photography spot. However, you need to be careful when taking photographs because the bridge has lots of traffic, with both vehicles and pedestrians coming and going.
