Juchheim was the first shop in Japan to bake its own baumkuchen, a kind of European layered cake. Its apfelbaum is an extravagant dessert prepared by building up a round baumkuchen around compote prepared from whole apples. Fans of Juchheim can be found throughout Japan as well as in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The company’s Motomachi main store includes a classic tea salon on its second floor as well as a restaurant on the B1 level.
